Go See the Gosnell Movie!

Posted on October 12, 2018 by Katrina Gallic

What are you doing this weekend?

I encourage you to go see the new movie ‘Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer’ which opens TODAY in over 650 theaters nationwide.

>>>> Click here for tickets to see Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.

Last night, some of our March for Life staff went to see the movie, which tells the horrifically true story about one of the most important criminal trials in history that few people know about.

The man on trial is the most prolific serial killer in the United States. But his crimes were virtually ignored by most media.

Why?

Because the murderer, Kermit Gosnell, was an abortionist.

Kermit Gosnell committed abortions for 30 years before being charged with:

  • 3 life sentences for the murder of 3 babies;
  • 21 felony charges of performing abortions past the Pennsylvania state 24 week limit;
  • 211 counts of misdemeanor for violating the 24-hour informed consent law.

I am so grateful that the story of Kermit Gosnell is finally being told. ‘Gosnell’ shines light on the ugliness of the abortion industry. The PG-13 rated film is based on the original police reports and trial records; it is honest, moving, and thought provoking.

If you have a friend or family member who is pro-choice or is not sure how they feel about abortion, invite them to see this film with you. ‘Gosnell’ has the power to change hearts and minds.

Why Do We March?

Posted on October 11, 2018 by Bethany Peck

It was an honor to attend the swearing-in ceremony at the White House on Monday evening for our newest Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh.

As you know, the Supreme Court plays a critical role in pro-life policy and has for decades. The horrific Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton cases in 1973 are the very reason the March for Life first began on January 22, 1974.

For 45 years, we have been marching with the mission to end abortion by uniting, educating, and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.

>>>> Will you join us at the 2019 March for Life?

With the contentious Supreme Court confirmation behind us and the midterm elections ahead, it’s easy to get caught up in the heightened political climate.

Let me be clear – it’s incredibly important that pro-life Americans advocate for pro-life public policy and participate in elections!

>>>> Make sure you are registered to vote!

However, it’s so important to remember that the cause of life is bigger than the Supreme Court and elections.

That’s why our vision at the March for Life is a world where the beauty and dignity of every human life are valued and protected.

Ending abortion in America will take the effort of every single pro-life person. We can’t put our hope in just one politician, judge, or piece of legislation. Each of us must commit to making a difference for the pro-life cause.

And it all starts at the March for Life.

The March for Life has grown to the largest human rights demonstration in the world – and we need YOU there on January 18, 2019 to be a voice for life.

>>>> Join us at the 2019 March for Life!

Together we march to end abortion, and we will.

March for Life Statement on Kavanaugh Confirmation Vote

Posted on October 6, 2018 by Bethany Peck

“Today the United States Supreme Court has gained an exceptional Justice in Brett Kavanaugh. March for Life is grateful to Justice Kavanaugh and his family for persevering through this most difficult confirmation process. We are also grateful to President Trump for delivering on his campaign promise to nominate a fair and independent judge who faithfully adheres to the Constitution. The Supreme Court plays a critical role in pro-life policy and has for decades. We look forward to Justice Kavanaugh’s tenure on the bench and the impact his dedicated public service will have towards creating a country where every human life is valued and protected equally under the law.”

– Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life

March For Life Statement On FDA Termination Of Contract With ABR

Posted on September 25, 2018 by Katrina Gallic

“March for Life thanks Secretary Azar and HHS for terminating this horrific $15,000 contract to provide ‘fresh’ fetal tissue. However, this is just a first step.  Three years after being exposed by grisly undercover videos from Center for Medical Progress, the aborted baby parts industry is still receiving substantial financial support from NIH Director Francis Collins as well as taxpayers. Close to $100 million is currently being directed by HHS and NIH towards procurement of baby body parts for experimentation in mice. These funds should instead be redirected to successful alternatives that do not devalue human life.”

– Jeanne Mancini, March for Life President

March for Life Statement on Planned Parenthood’s New President

Posted on September 14, 2018 by Bethany Peck

“Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion business. As the first doctor at the helm in nearly 50 years, new Planned Parenthood president Dr. Leana Wen has an opportunity to finally make women’s health top priority, and close shop on an abortion business that claimed the lives of 321,384 babies while only providing 7,762 prenatal services just last year. More than six in ten Americans oppose taxpayer funding for abortion giants like Planned Parenthood, and Dr. Wen would be wise to heed the will of an increasingly pro-life culture by ushering in a new era of women’s healthcare that focuses on saving life – not ending it.”

– March for Life President Jeanne Mancini

Kavanaugh Hearings Analysis

Posted on September 11, 2018 by Bethany Peck

Judge Kavanaugh will make a great justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, just like President Trump’s first appointment, Neil Gorsuch.

>>>> Contact your Senators today to urge them to vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh!

A graduate of Yale College and Law School, Judge Kavanaugh currently serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He was confirmed by a bipartisan majority for that position in 2006. Thirteen of his written opinions on cases have been endorsed by Supreme Court decisions.

In addition to his professional qualifications, Kavanaugh has spent most of his career serving the public; he volunteers to serve meals to the homeless, tutors at an elementary school, and coaches his daughter’s basketball team. He also serves as a regular lector at his parish.

The Judiciary hearings that concluded last week demonstrated that Judge Kavanaugh is exceptionally qualified for the role of Supreme Court justice and will no doubt serve as a fair, independent judge who will remain faithful to the Constitution.

During the hearings, Kavanaugh stated, “My only loyalty is to the Constitution. I have made that clear, I am an independent judge.”

This makes pro-abortion politicians and the abortion industry very worried.

The hearings were interrupted by yelling pro-abortion protesters over 100 times and 70 people were arrested on the first day. Plus, Planned Parenthood released a six figure ad campaign against Kavanaugh on the first day of hearings.

So, what will Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court actually mean for the pro-life movement?

>>>> Watch our Facebook Live discussion with March for Life Action President Tom McClusky and Elizabeth Slattery, a legal fellow with the Heritage Foundation.

This will be an intense confirmation battle, and every pro-life American must have their voice heard!

Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

What a Week!

Posted on September 7, 2018 by Bethany Peck

Protestors.

False statistics.

Twelve hour days of questioning.

It’s been quite a week for Judge Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings for the U.S. Supreme Court! You can read our March for Life updates HERE.

>>>> Please take a moment TODAY to urge your Senators to support the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh!

The final day of hearings concludes Friday.

One thing has been clear this week – Judge Kavanaugh will make an excellent addition to the U.S. Supreme Court, like President Trump’s first appointment, Neil Gorsuch.

>>> Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Thank you for making your voice heard on this important Supreme Court battle!

Did You See What Happened?

Posted on September 6, 2018 by Bethany Peck

Did you see that protestors continued to interrupt throughout day two of the confirmation hearing for Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court?

You can make YOUR voice heard by contacting your Senators to stand strong against the extreme opposition to Judge Kavanaugh and to vote to confirm him to the Supreme Court.

>>>> Contact your Senators TODAY!

If you missed our recap of day one, you can read more about that HERE.

As March for Life President Jeanne Mancini shared in an op-ed for the Washington Examiner, “Judge Kavanaugh believes in honoring the U.S. Constitution including its clear definition of what a judge should do — interpret laws, not make them up.”

At the hearing today, Judge Kavanaugh shared, “If confirmed to the Supreme Court and as a sitting judge, I owe my loyalty to the constitution. That is what I owe loyalty to.”

Judge Kavanaugh will make a great justice  – one who interprets the law rather than making the law – and he needs the support of every pro-life American.

>>>> Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Day three of the hearings will continue on Thursday. If you are interested in attending the hearings at the Hart Senate Office Building, the public may arrive at 8:00 am to get tickets. Click HERE for more information.

Please continue to follow us on social media for updates this week!

Day One of the Kavanaugh Hearings

Posted on September 4, 2018 by Bethany Peck

Today was the first day of the Senate confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Unfortunately, it was clear that the opposition to President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee will do anything to stop the confirmation process.

Protestors interrupted the Senate Judiciary hearing dozens of times today and Judge Kavanaugh’s children had to be escorted out of the hearing room.

In fact, Senate Democrats were part of the partisanship with NBC reporting that “Democrats plotted a coordinated protest strategy over the holiday weekend and all agreed to disrupt and protest the hearing.”

>>>> Please take a moment to contact your Senators urging them to support a fair process and confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court!

Despite the outrage and protests, Judge Kavanaugh proved his exceptional character and qualifications during his opening statement. He shared, “If confirmed to the Court, I would be part of a Team of Nine, committed to deciding cases according to the Constitution and laws of the United States.”

Day one of the hearings has concluded, but they will reconvene on Wednesday, with Senators given the opportunity to question the nominee.

>>>> Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Judge Kavanaugh will make a great justice, just like the President’s first appointment, Neil Gorsuch. He is exceptionally qualified for the role of Supreme Court justice and will no doubt serve as a fair, independent judge who will remain faithful to the Constitution.

It’s critical that every pro-life American contact their Senators in support of Judge Kavanugh.

We will keep you updated as the hearings continue this week. Be sure to follow us on social media!
